Desert Temple is a medium-sized facility that is out in the middle of Ancient Egypt. One side has a large building that's filled with items, while the other one is a small pyramid with a bounce pad in it. There are plenty of bounce pads scattered throughout the level, which make it easy to get from one side to another.
A key part of this level is effectively using the bounce pads. If the player either touches a bounce pad while falling or uses a jump pad twice, they will go higher than they would normally. This is essential for obtaining some of the goodies in the level.

Large underground buildingEdit
The underground part of the large building has plenty of goodies, such as a Double Barrel Coach Gun, rocket, bullet and shell ammo, and a Large Health and Large Armor. It also has plenty of room to dodge enemies.
In the center of the level is a hole with a jump pad at the bottom of it. The bottom of it links to the underground part of the Large Building. Surrounding the hole is a flat area that's bordered by several towers that have goodies on top of them, such as a Double Barrel Coach Gun and ammo for various weapons.
Obelisks in front of pyramidEdit
In front of the entrance to the pyramid area are two obelisks, The left one has a Super Health, while the right one has a Super Armor. These can be reached by bouncing on the jump pad in the pyramid twice, then, as the peak of the second jump, moving to the obelisk that has the desired item.
Inside the pyramid is a jump pad, along with a Medium Health, Bullet pickup, Rocket pickup, and a Shell pickup. There is an opening at the top of the pyramid which lets the player get out of it when using the jump pad.
Minigun behind the pyramidEdit
Behind the pyramid are two pillars with a jump pad in the middle of them. The left pillar has four bullet pickups, while the right one has a XM-214-A Minigun. Either jumping on the jump pad form the pyramid's back or using the jump pad twice will allow one to reach one of the pillars.
The Desert surrounding the level can be used to fight. It gives the player pleanty of room to strafe.
In Serious Sam HD, the areas the jump pads send someone have changed. For example, the jump pads as soon as the player enters the Large Building are used to get to the Rocket Launcher, not the jump pad behind it. However, the actual layout has not changed.
