Extra Small Health (Multi-vitamin in Serious Sam: Double D) is a healing item that appears in the Serious Sam games. It is the weakest healing item in the series.

Overview[]

In most of its appearances, extra small health gives the player 1 health point when picked up, while in Serious Sam 2 and Serious Sam: Next Encounter, it gives the player 5 health points when picked up. Extra small health is one of the only two health items that can boost the player's health beyond the usual maximum of 100, with the other being Extra Large Health.

Appearances[]

Extra small health is one of the most common healing items in the series. Like Extra Small Armor, it is often used as a trap to spawn in extra enemies, such as groups of Kleer Skeletons or even Major Bio-mechanoids. Therefore, the player should avoid picking them up unless they have enough health/armor/ammo to deal with extra enemies that may spawn in. In addition, chains of extra small health appearing one after another when one is picked up is often a trap. After a certain amount of extra small health has been picked up, an enemy or group of enemies will suddenly appear in front of or near the player.

In Serious Sam 2, extra small health are often bundled up in groups of four or so to give the player a decent amount of health if all of them are picked up at once.

In Serious Sam 3: BFE, Serious Sam 4 and Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem, extra small health is the most common healing item in the first two or so levels. They become less common later in the games.

In Serious Sam 4 and Siberian Mayhem, extra small health is sometimes dropped after killing an enemy if the player has acquired the Looter Shooter S.A.M skill.

Trivia[]

  • Extra large health's design varies between games:
    • In Serious Sam 1, Serious Sam: Next Encounter, Serious Sam HD and Serious Sam: Double D, it is a white/creamish pill. In Serious Sam 1 and Serious Sam HD, it has the words "Wound Healer" written on it in all capital letters.
    • In Serious Sam 2, it is a set of white and red pills with crosses on them.
    • In Serious Sam 3: BFE, Serious Sam 4 and Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem, it is a small bottle of pills.
