The Treasure Chest is a rare collectible item that provides the player with a large sum of points.
Overview[]
The treasure chest is a large treasure chest filled with gold and other valuables. Its point value depends on the game it is in; in Serious Sam: Xbox, it gives the player 50,000 points, while the Serious Sam 2 version gives the player 5000 points when picked up.
Appearanes[]
The treasure chest appears in single player and co-op modes in Serious Sam: Xbox and Serious Sam 2, but can only be found in coin-op co-op mode in Serious Sam HD, Serious Sam VR, Serious Sam 3: BFE and Serious Sam 3 VR: BFE.
Its rarity depends on the game. In Serious Sam: Xbox, treasure chests are usually tucked into corners and semi-hidden alternate paths, while in Serious Sam 2 and Serious Sam: Next Encounter , they are only found in secrets.
Tactics[]
- A treasure chest will give half of the points needed to get an Extra Life, making it very valuable. The player should be on the lookout for them if they need to get extra lives for whatever reason.
- It is also very useful for those that're trying to get a high score, as the amount of points a treasure chest gives can make a significant impact on one's final score.
