The Huanman is an enemy cut from Serious Sam: The First Encounter.

A restored version of this enemy, now named the Rasalhaguen Serpentoid, can be found in Serious Sam Classics: Revolution and can be put in maps by custom map designers. This enemy will also appear in Serious Sam Origins.

Overview[]

The Rasalhaguen Serpentoid is an old snake-like species of soldiers from Mental's army, hailing from the obscure Rasalhague planet in the Ophiuchus constellation. Serpentoids were originally thought extinct until recently.

Originally a powerful species of strong half-human, half-snake people called the Sszszzach, they ruled over their planets as wise and benevolent gods until Mental came and offered to have them join in this army. However, the Sszszzach, foreseeing how they would be used for destruction of life, turned down the offer. Mental retaliated by slaughtering most of their race and twisting the bodies of their remnants into snake-head mutants. Reduced to a primitive state, Mental used up most of the Serpentoids' numbers in his war against the Sirians.

Skills and abilities[]

Rasalhaguen Serpentoids slither around like a snake to move around and hold a powerful spear-shaped energy cannon, which is used to fire volatile plasma projectiles and can also double as a powerful melee weapon.

Trivia[]

  • The Serpentoid may be based on the Huan, a dog-like creature from J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth series, but the Serpentoid has many snake-like features.
  • The model for the projectile the Serpentoid fired was left in the final game's files.
